OPOTA courses provided at the London main academy, the Tactical Training Center and regionally around the state are available for registration.  New courses are added as developed so check back frequently for the latest in new offerings.  You can also log on to OPOTA Portal to view the course catalog and conveniently register online.

On-campus lodging at the London facility has reopened for active Ohio peace officers, though availability remains limited as we transition toward full operational capacity in 2026.

To request a room, please indicate your interest when registering for courses.  Please be advised that a request does not guarantee a reservation; you will be notified directly if a room is assigned to you.

While the cafeteria currently remains closed, on-site vending machines and several local dining options in London are available.  Additionally, hotels in the London, Springfield, and Hilliard areas offer lodging at government rates.

Except for occasional use as a regional training site, the Richfield campus is permanently closed.

All course registration and payments, whether self-pay or agency pay, should be made via the OPOTA Portal.

If you need to make a payment unrelated to course registration (site use, certificate reissue, private security, other), please utilize the OPOTA Non-Course Payment site.

OPOTA is nationally accredited by the Commmission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA).
