Attorney General DeWine Discusses Fugitive Safe Surrender on "Focus on North Central Ohio"

Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine and other guests discussed Fugitive Safe Surrender Richland County with host Natalie Clark on a September 2011 edition of WMFD-TV's "Focus on North Central Ohio." Fugitive Safe Surrender is a creative and highly successful initiative that encourages persons with non-violent felony or misdemeanor warrants to voluntarily surrender to the law in a faith-based or other neutral setting. Fugitive Safe Surrender offers individuals with felony and misdemeanor warrants the ability to turn themselves in to law enforcement and have their cases judged in a safe environment.

Cyber Fraud Legislaton News Conference

On September 14th, Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine today joined members of the Ohio General Assembly in calling for the adoption of tougher laws dealing with cyber fraud. The proposal, sponsored by State Senator Kevin Bacon (R-Minerva Park) and State Representative Ross McGregor (R-Springfield), would give the Attorney General's Office authority to investigate cyber fraud and prepare cases for local prosecution.

On September 6th, BCI marked its 90th anniversary with an open house and ceremony led by Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine and BCI Superintendent Tom Stickrath. The event took place at the BCI main office in London.
