Attorney General Mike DeWine and Senator Rob Portman joined Kroger representatives to announce that Kroger will make the opioid overdose reversal medicine Naloxone available without a prescription at its 84 pharmacies in Ohio and 16 pharmacies in Northern Kentucky beginning Monday, Feb. 15.

CVS Health and Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine announces naloxone available without prescription

CVS Health announced on February 1, 2016 that it would make the opioid overdose reversal medicine naloxone available without a prescription at all CVS Pharmacy locations across Ohio beginning in late March 2016. White House National Drug Control Policy Director Michael Botticelli, Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine and Lucas County Sheriff John Tharp joined CVS Health in making the announcement at a press conference in Toledo for the announcement.
