The Ohio Attorney General’s Sexual Assault Kit Testing Initiative is finished after Bureau of Criminal Investigation scientists tested 13,931 once-forgotten rape kits from around the state dating from 1971 to 2014. The evidence in each rape kit represents a person. And many of those people – the survivors – have waited years for justice.
