Attorney General DeWine Meets with Prescription Drug Abuse Advisory Council to Work on Prevention and Policy Solutions

(COLUMBUS, Ohio) — Attorney General Mike DeWine met today with the Ohio Attorney General's Prescription Drug Abuse Advisory Council.  The group will advise the Attorney General on prevention strategies and policy solutions, provide a forum to examine Ohio's efforts to combat the problem of prescription drug abuse, and identify and develop working relationships.

Attorney General DeWine Joins with Other Agencies to Host the National Judicial Institute on Domestic Violence

More than 150 Ohio judges and other professionals are participating in the National Judicial Institute on Domestic Violence: Enhancing Judicial Skills in Elder Abuse Cases August 29 and 30. The event is hosted by Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine's office, the Supreme Court of Ohio, and the Ohio Association of Probate Judges.

Attorney General DeWine Joins States in Antitrust Lawsuit Against Apple and Major Book Publishers

Attorney General Mike DeWine announced today that Ohio has joined with 15 state attorneys general in an antitrust lawsuit against Apple, Inc., and three major publishers alleging antitrust violations in the market for electronic books. (e-books) The lawsuit says Apple and publishers Simon & Shuster, Penguin and Macmillan conspired to change the way e-books are priced, costing consumers more than $100 million in overcharges.
