(COLUMBUS, Ohio) – Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine announced today that a Consent Order was entered Thursday in Morrow County Common Pleas Court that directs Cardington Yutaka Technologies (CYT) to alert the village of Cardington and the Ohio EPA about significant changes to discharges from its West Main Street facility and to pay a $500,000 civil penalty for violations of state water pollution laws.
 
"We are glad that this Consent Order is in place and that it will help to ensure the protection of the village of Cardington's wastewater treatment system and Whetstone Creek," said Attorney General DeWine.

Attorney General Mike DeWine today sought restitution for consumers in the filing of a lawsuit against Jacob Wagers and James Sasser, of Trenton, Ohio, doing business as Ohio Insurance Assessments, with an office in Hamilton, Ohio. The roofing and siding company failed to deliver work on several occasions and did not provide refunds to consumers, according to the lawsuit.

Today's training took place this morning at Owens Community College just outside of Toledo.  Instructors include members of the Attorney General's special prosecutions unit as well as a forensic scientist from the Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI).

(COLUMBUS, Ohio) – In observance of Data Privacy Day on Jan. 28, Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine is encouraging consumers to protect their personal information to avoid tax-related fraud and identity theft. Recent reports suggest that criminals are stealing personal information from legitimate taxpayers to obtain fraudulent tax refunds from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).
 
"Helping Ohio consumers with information to help protect their identities and hard-earned dollars is a priority of the Attorney General's Office," said Attorney General DeWine. "We want to help consumers be aware of the necessary precautions to file taxes securely and keep their personal information safe."

Allen Volle, 34, last registered his address in April as being in Lancaster, Ohio.  The Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office issued a warrant for his arrest after he failed to verify his address in December.

(CLEVELAND) – Attorney General Mike DeWine filed a lawsuit today seeking restitution for consumers harmed by C.O.O.L. LLC, PMK Customs LLC., and owner/operator Andre Scott, of Maple Heights. Consumers paid for but did not receive products or refunds from the shoe customization companies, according to the lawsuit.

"Consumers deserve to get the performance and quality products they pay for," said Attorney General DeWine.

Today Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine's Bureau of Criminal Investigation hosted the first of several training courses that will teach authorities investigative strategies for unsolved homicide cases.

The new office will serve as a drop off point for law enforcement officers who have evidence to submit to the BCI laboratories in London and Richfield.  The 1225 Woodlawn Avenue location will also house office space for agents investigating crimes in the area.

Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine today joined educators and law enforcement officers at the first regional "Active Shooter Training for Educators" class taught today in Columbus.
