2013 Take Action High School Video Contest, 2nd Place: Gone Phishing

The Ohio Attorney General's Office and the Ohio Council on Economic Education thank everyone who participated in the 2013 Take Action Video Contest. Students demonstrated that they learned about consumer scams and how to protect themselves from becoming a victim.

Consumer Protection Press Conference

As part of National Consumer Protection Week, Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine announced new efforts to protect Ohio consumers. The efforts focus on cyber crimes and the elderly. High School student winners of the Attorney General's Take Action Video Contest were also be revealed. Students created 60-second videos on consumer scams or identity theft for a chance to win scholarships.

Attorney General DeWine Speaks at Ohio Statehouse on Boys & Girls Clubs

On February 26th, 2014, Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine spoke at an event at the Ohio Statehouse honoring the Ohio Alliance of Boys & Girls Clubs. In 2013, DeWine announced that he was giving a $4.3 million grant to the Ohio Alliance of Boys & Girls Clubs for their Great Futures for Ohio's Kids growth program. The grant was funded from the National Mortgage Settlement to assist at-risk youth affected by homelessness and foreclosure.
