Former Band Booster Club Treasurer Found Guilty of Theft, Ordered to Repay $25,000

Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine and Licking County Prosecutor Kenneth W. Oswalt announced today that a former treasurer of the Watkins Memorial High School Band Booster Club has been ordered to repay $25,000 to the booster club after being found guilty of theft.

Attorney General DeWine Announces More than 7,200 Kits Tested as Part of Sexual Assault Kit Testing Initiative

Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine today announced that forensic scientists with the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) have now tested more than 7,200 sexual assault kits as part of a special initiative to test rape kits that had never been tested for DNA.

Former Assisted Living Employee Sentenced to Prison for Stealing from Elderly Residents

Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine and Muskingum County Prosecutor Mike Haddox today announced that a former employee of a Zanesville assisted living facility has been sentenced to 17 months in prison for stealing nearly $26,400 worth of jewelry from elderly residents. Three other individuals were sentenced today for related crimes that cost elderly victims thousands of dollars in stolen cash and jewelry.

Cleveland Man Sentenced to Three Years in Prison for Illegally Dumping Tons of Garbage

Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine today announced that Christopher L. Gattarello has been sentenced to three years in prison for illegally dumping tons of garbage in Cleveland. Gattarello and his two companies also were fined a combined total of $100,000 and were ordered to clean up the two sites where the garbage was dumped.
