UPDATE: The Ohio Attorney General Information Technology Services, Windows XP Announcement

Effective April 8, 2014 Microsoft stopped delivering software updates, providing technical assistance and support for Windows XP (XP) and Internet Explorer 8 (IE8).  As a result, XP and IE8 will still work on devices, but moving forward the continued use of XP and/or IE8 exposes your device to security risks, threats, vulnerabilities and viruses.   Additionally,  as software and hardware manufacturers continue to optimize and leverage more current versions of Windows Operating Systems (OS) and IE, users will begin to experience that more and more applications and devices simply don’t function properly or fail entirely.

Attorney General DeWine, Lima Police Chief Martin, and Allen County Sheriff Crish Announce Grant Money to Combat Heroin Epidemic

Attorney General Mike DeWine, Lima Police Chief Kevin Martin, and Allen County Sheriff Samuel Crish announced today an aggressive plan to try to stop the fast flow of heroin along I-75 through Allen County. Grant money from the Ohio Attorney General’s Safe Neighborhoods Initiative will fund two investigators for two years in both the Lima Police Department and the Allen County Sheriff’s Office.

Port Clinton Couple Indicted on Theft, Fraud Charges

An Ottawa County Grand Jury today indicted a Port Clinton couple on ten total counts related to a bankruptcy fraud scheme that shielded assets from more than 50 creditors, Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine and Ottawa County Prosecuting Attorney Mark Mulligan announced today. The scheme also involved theft from an elderly widow of more than $160,000.
