Ohio Attorney General Announces More Than a Dozen Drug Arrests in Alleged Northwest Ohio Cocaine Ring

Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine joined Sandusky County Sheriff Kyle Overmyer, Ottawa County Sheriff Stephen Levorchick, and Fremont Police Chief Tim Wiersma this afternoon to announce the arrests and indictments of more than two dozen people in three counties today.

Attorney General DeWine Announces Community Fraud Forum to be Held in Toledo

(COLUMBUS, Ohio) – Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine today announced the next regional community fraud forum his office is hosting this summer is in Toledo on Aug. 16. The free forum is open to anyone and features special workshops for law enforcement, social workers and other caretakers. Discussion will focus on recent consumer and charitable scams affecting Ohioans, along with patient and Medicaid abuse. 

"By reaching out across the state with these regional fraud forums, we continue to bolster our collaborative efforts to protect Ohio’s families," Attorney General DeWine said.

Lucas County Prosecutor Julia Bates, along with the Ohio Casino Control Commission and the Ohio Attorney General's Office today announce the indictments of 11 defendants charged with cheating at the Hollywood Casino in Toledo.

Attorney General DeWine Reiterates Call for Internet Café Regulations as Owners Exploit Loopholes in Ohio Law

Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine today reiterated his call for the Ohio General Assembly to adopt regulations on internet cafes and sweepstakes parlors. DeWine expressed his concerns as research and information from the internet café affidavits filed with his office have made it increasingly clear that the business model for most sweepstakes parlors is designed to take advantage of loopholes in Ohio law.

Attorney General DeWine Sues Cincinnati-Area Home Improvement Contractor for Consumer Law Violations

(CINCINNATI, Ohio) – Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine today announced a lawsuit against William Adair III, doing business as Superior Construction, for multiple violations of the Consumer Sales Practices Act and the Home Solicitation Sales Act.

Superior Construction is a home improvement business. Its principal place of business is 14 Apple Lane, Milford, Ohio.

Attorney General DeWine Announces Formation of Central Ohio Human Trafficking Task Force

Members of the task force began investigating the Chillicothe residents when a woman reported to authorities that the suspects brought her to Columbus under false pretenses and forced her to have sex with more than a dozen men over a period of several days.
