Secure Portal for Schools to Submit Safety Plans Now Online

Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine and Ohio Superintendent of Public Instruction Richard A. Ross today announced that Ohio schools may now begin submitting school safety plans via a secure online portal to help first responders in case of an emergency. The portal is one of the many recommendations of the Attorney General’s School Safety Task Force which have been implemented since the task force announced its recommendations earlier this year.

Former Pharmacist Pleads Guilty to Health Care Fraud, Drug Adulteration Charges

Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine announced today that a former Coshocton pharmacist has pleaded guilty to federal charges alleging that she took between $1 million and $2.5 million from state, federal, and private medical insurance companies through fraudulent billing practices.

Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine today announced that the Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) has exceeded its goal of testing 1,500 rape kits during the first year of the Attorney General's Sexual Assault Kit (SAK) Testing Initiative.

Attorney General, Bureau of Workers' Compensation Announce Chiropractor Fraud Convictions

Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine and Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation  Administrator/CEO Steve Buehrer announced today that two Ohio chiropractors have been sentenced to pay nearly $179,000 in combined restitution to Medicaid and the Bureau of Workers' Compensation (BWC).

Attorney General DeWine, Pennsylvania Attorney General Sue Ohio Solicitor for Deceiving Donors

Attorney General DeWine, Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine today filed a lawsuit and was granted a temporary restraining order against Youngstown-area Encore Music Productions Ltd. and its agents for deceiving donors while soliciting for firefighter and police charities. The Pennsylvania Attorney General also filed a lawsuit against the business.

DeWine, 39 Attorneys General Urge FDA to Adopt E-Cigarette Regulations

Ohio Attorney General DeWine today urged the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to issue proposed regulations on electronic cigarettes, also known as e-cigarettes. The bipartisan letter to the FDA was issued jointly with Massachusetts Attorney General Martha Coakley and was co-signed by attorneys general from 38 additional states and territories.
