Attorney General DeWine Asks for Public's Help to Identify Suspect in Morgan County Burglary Case

(MORGAN COUNTY, Ohio)— Attorney General Mike DeWine is asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect in a Morgan County burglary case. The Attorney General’s Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) is assisting the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office in the case, where the suspect has been caught on videotape.

“We need the public’s help in identifying this person, “ said Attorney General DeWine. “Someone knows this guy. He’s somebody’s neighbor, relative, friend. We’d like to get him off the streets, so he can’t steal from anyone else.”

The break-in occurred November 2nd at the victim’s home on State Route 329 in Glouster (Morgan County). On video and still pictures from the video, you can see the suspect looking through the kitchen for items to steal. This is the second break-in within a month, which is why the homeowner set up a video camera and caught the man committing the crime.

Morgan County Sheriff Thomas Jenkins Sr. is offering a $500 reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the suspect in this case.

“We want our community to be safe, and we want to send a clear message to criminals. They need to stay out of Morgan County. We are going after each and every one of them,” Sheriff Thomas Jenkins said.
