The majority of special counsel appointments fall into this category and are generally compensated on a hourly or flat fee basis. Applicants must have in-depth knowledge, experience and expertise in the practice areas for which a special counsel appointment is sought.
When filling out the forms below, please clearly communicate your firm’s experience, areas of expertise, and ability to perform the work requested. Please also identify the State Entities you wish to serve.
The Attorney General’s Office requires completed RFQ forms to be submitted online at our General Appointments RFQ Online Submission page.
- RFQ-General Appointments - This form is required by the Attorney General in order to review a firm’s qualifications.
- Affidavit of Eligibility - This form is required by the Attorney General to ensure that a firm is in compliance with R.C. 3517.
- Certifications - This form is required by the Attorney General to ensure that a firm and its attorneys are in good standing with the Ohio Bar and other state bars, are qualified under R.C. 3517.13, and have no legal malpractice actions that have been adversely decided against them within the last five years.
- W-9 - This form is required by the Internal Revenue Service.
Applicants must have legal knowledge and significant experience in complex litigation, as well as a strong understanding of all federal and Ohio securities laws.
