Christopher Belmarez joined the Attorney General’s Office in 2021, where he serves as an Assistant Attorney General. Chris is responsible for investigating and litigating cases involving violations of state and federal consumer protection laws. He handles cases involving a variety of consumer protection issues, including Do-Not-Call regulation, home improvement, and business compliance with advertising laws.
Prior to joining the Attorney General’s Office, Chris clerked at private law firms in Austin, Texas and Columbus, Ohio. Chris attended Notre Dame Law School where he focused on litigation, data privacy and security, and corporate compliance.
