Former Water-Operator Instructor Pleads Guilty to Violating Ohio EPA Rules

Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine today announced that a Niles man has pleaded guilty to issuing invalid training certificates to Youngstown Water Department employees and will permanently lose his certifications as a water operator and training instructor in Ohio.

Attorney General DeWine Releases 2017 Economic Development Compliance Report

Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine today released his 2017 Report to the General Assembly on Compliance with State Awards for Economic Development. The report, which is required to be submitted by the Attorney General to the General Assembly pursuant to statute, analyzes whether companies and organizations who were awarded certain economic development incentives complied with the requirements of those state awards. Today's report reviewed recipients which had performance periods ending in calendar year 2016.​

Drug Threat ‘Unprecedented’ According to National Forensic Group; Ohio’s Crime Lab Stats Mirror Trends

Today Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine’s Office released preliminary numbers of drug cases that the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) has received to date in 2017. This follows the recent release by the American Society of Crime Laboratory Directors (ASCLD) about the dangers of opioids and the severity of the opioid issue nationwide.
