Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine today announced a bold, new, holistic initiative aimed at decreasing violent crime in Ohio by targeting Ohio's most violent offenders. Attorney General DeWine Seeks Consumer Restitution from Storm-Chasing Columbus Roofer

Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine today filed a lawsuit charging Restore It USA, LLC and its owner James Twaddle with multiple violations of Ohio’s consumer laws. According to the lawsuit, the business targeted consumers whose homes were damaged by storms but failed to deliver promised services.

$153 Million Settlement Announced in Class Action Shareholder Suit Against Fannie Mae, KPMG

Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine today announced that a $153 million settlement has been reached in a class action shareholder lawsuit with Fannie Mae and accounting firm KPMG. The settlement must be approved by the United States District Court for the District of Columbia.

Attorney General DeWine and Miami County Prosecutor’s Office Announce Ringleader Sentence in Telemarketing Fraud Scheme

Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine and Miami County Prosecutor Anthony Kendall today announced that Theodore Thomas, the ringleader of a telemarketing fraud ring from Ohio and Florida that stole millions of dollars from thousands of victims in 41 states since 2007, has been sentenced to 6 years in prison and has agreed to testify against the remaining defendants.

Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine today announced a lawsuit against N.M.M.S.R. Incorporated, doing business as Making Home Affordable USA, and its owner Jason Keating of Maumee. The lawsuit charges Keating and his business with multiple violations of Ohio’s consumer laws.
