Trainings for Victim Service Providers

The Crime Victim Services Section (CVS) is working to revamp trainings in this post-pandemic era. The section is studying needs and exploring options for trainings in 2023. Please continue to watch for updates and details.

The Ohio Victim Assistance Academy (OVAA) develops and schedules trainings to offer victim service providers and allied professionals the opportunity to acquire skills and knowledge to better assist victims of crime. OVAA courses aim to build the capacity of professionals serving victims of crime by cultivating their skills, knowledge, and attitudes through skill-based training opportunities. Through a multi-discipline approach, participants will learn and practice, with advocates across the state, the essential skills needed to empower crime victims to regain control of their lives.

To request a free training for your agency or event, complete and submit the training request form at the link below. If you have questions about the trainings offered by the Crime Victim Services Section, please call 800-582-2877.
