Oil and Gas Commission Upholds Order to Revoke D&L Energy’s Permits

Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine and the Ohio Department of Natural Resources today announced that the Ohio Oil and Gas Commission has ruled that D&L Energy cannot keep its injection well permits and must properly dispose stored material. The decision, issued on Friday, upheld a previous order, which D&L Energy had appealed.

Attorney General DeWine Charges Professional Solicitor with Charitable Law Violations

Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine today announced a lawsuit against Massachusetts-based Integral Resources Inc. for multiple violations of Ohio’s Charitable Organizations Act. The Attorney General also was granted a request for a temporary restraining order to stop Integral Resources from soliciting in Ohio.

Columbus Man Sentenced for Running Veterans Charity Scam

Attorney General Mike DeWine and Franklin County Prosecutor Ron O’Brien today announced that John W. Hargrove has been sentenced to two and a half years in prison for soliciting money for a fraudulent charity, Ohio Veterans Source (Ohio Vets), which he falsely claimed would aid local veterans. Hargrove has been ordered to pay more than $2,000 in restitution and has no chance for early release.

Ohioans Report Losing Money to Rental Scams, Attorney General DeWine Warns

Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine today warned that consumers across the state are reporting losing money to rental property scams. The Attorney General’s Office has received more than a dozen reports of the scam since January, and consumers who fall for the scam report an average loss of about $1,000.
