Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine and Hamilton County Prosecutor Joseph T. Deters Announce Indictment in First Hamilton County State Court Human Trafficking Case

Today, Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine and Hamilton County Prosecutor Joseph T. Deters  announced  the indictment of Pleasant Plain, Ohio resident April Corcoran (DOB 4-4-84) on 27 felony counts in the attached indictment.  If convicted of all charges, she faces the possibility of life in prison.

Attorney General DeWine Announces Concealed Carry Reciprocity with Five Additional States

Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine today announced that Ohioans with concealed carry permits will be able to use those permits in five additional states. Pursuant to changes adopted in House Bill 234 of the 130th General Assembly, Ohio now has concealed carry permit reciprocity with Colorado, Georgia, New Hampshire, Texas, and Wisconsin.

Attorney General DeWine Announces Settlement in BNY Mellon Foreign Currency Exchange Lawsuit

Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine today announced the $335 million settlement, subject to court approval, of a class-action lawsuit against The Bank of New York Mellon (“BNYM”) over claims that it unlawfully overcharged pension funds and other banking customers for foreign currency exchange (“FX”) trades.  Combined with settlements with other regulatory and government agencies, the total gross compensation to BNYM’s customers will be $504 million.  BNYM has agreed to pay an additional $210 million in penalties to the United States Department of Justice (“DOJ”) and other government agencies.
