Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine announced today Nekosha T. James-Mitchell of Lima has been found guilty on 13 felony counts involving two Lima state-funded daycare operations she owned and operated. An Allen County jury reached the verdict Monday night after a five day trial.

Attorney General Mike DeWine announced that Dr. Han M. Yang pleaded guilty today to Trafficking in Prescription Drugs, among other charges. Search warrants were executed last October on Yang's offices in Dayton and Bethel Township as part of an investigation into prescription drug abuse, medical fraud, and money laundering.

Attorney General Mike DeWine announced that Vance Short, 45, pleaded guilty today to Conspiracy to Commit Murder and Complicity to Commit Aggravated Burglary in the murder of Gregory Trapp, of Sidney, Ohio. Trapp was found dead on May 21, 1998, of a gunshot wound to the head. Short and Gregory Trapp's brother, William Trapp, were arrested and indicted in the case last year.

(COLUMBUS, Ohio) – Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine announced today that he is continuing his support of Ohio's crime victims by awarding more than $10,000 in grant funding. The money will help six Ohio organizations observing National Crime Victims' Rights Week, which runs from Sunday, April 22 to Saturday, April 28. Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine today announced that a cooperative investigation by the Ohio Attorney General's Office and the Broward County Sheriff's Office in Broward County, Florida, has resulted in Noel A. Colqhoun of Lauderhill, Florida, being charged with Grand Theft, a felony of the third degree, as a result of his alleged involvement in a "grandparent scam" that victimized an elderly Cuyahoga County woman.

The bipartisan multistate enforcement action is a result of the ongoing investigations of the recruiting and deceptive business practices of some proprietary colleges by state Attorneys General.

Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine announced today that two Fugitive Safe Surrender programs will be conducted simultaneously in Columbiana and Trumbull counties at the end of July.

(MANSFIELD, Ohio) — Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine announced today that the Fugitive Safe Surrender program will expand to Richland County this October. DeWine made his announcement at Oasis of Love Church in Mansfield, where the event will be held from October 5th through 8th.

Members of the task force began investigating the Chillicothe residents when a woman reported to authorities that the suspects brought her to Columbus under false pretenses and forced her to have sex with more than a dozen men over a period of several days.
