(COLUMBUS, Ohio) — Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost issued the following statement today regarding the passing of former Office of Budget and Management Director and Chief of Staff to Mayor Dana G. “Buck” Rinehart, Patrick H. Power:
"Pat Power was the indispensable man at Columbus City Hall in the 1980s — the diplomat between warring parties, Mayor Rinehart’s closest adviser, the man who made the trains run on time. He was a leader, a mentor to many and a servant to the people of Columbus and Ohio."
Attorney General Yost covered Power during his time as a reporter and later worked for him in the Columbus Mayor's Office.
