Attorney General DeWine Releases 2015 Economic Development Compliance Report

(COLUMBUS, Ohio)—Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine today released his 2015 Report to the General Assembly on Compliance with State Awards for Economic Development. The report, which is required to be submitted by the Attorney General to the General Assembly pursuant to statute, analyzes compliance with the terms of economic development awards for recipients which had performance periods ending in calendar year 2014.

The report determined 341 awards had a performance period ending in 2014. The report found that 269 awards were in substantial compliance while 72 awards did not comply, resulting in an overall compliance rate of 78.9%. The report also listed compliance rates by award categories:

  • Workforce Compliance Rate: 100% (43 of 43 awards in substantial compliance)
  • Grant Compliance Rate: 76.3% (58 of 76)
  • Tax Credit Compliance Rate: 73.4% (116 of 158)
  • Loan Compliance Rate: 81.3% (52 of 64)
