Man Indicted for Cattle-Rustling Scheme

Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine today announced that an Ohio man has been indicted for running a scheme in Ohio, Kentucky, and West Virginia where he allegedly purchased over $30,000 worth of livestock and vehicles using fraudulent checks and falsified documents.

Attorney General DeWine Announces Indictments in Theft from Elderly Case

Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine announced today that two Marietta residents are facing charges of theft from the elderly and receiving stolen property following an investigation conducted by the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation as part of the Ohio Attorney General's Elder Justice Initiative.

Attorney General Mike DeWine Announces $11 Million Multistate Settlement with Classmates Inc., Florists’ Transworld Delivery Inc., and FTD.com Inc.

Attorney General Mike DeWine and 21 other state attorneys general today announced that Classmates Inc. (“Classmates”), along with Florists’ Transworld Delivery Inc., and FTD.com Inc. (collectively “FTD”), have agreed to pay $11 million to settle allegations that the companies engaged in misleading advertising and billing practices.  Some consumers in Ohio, and elsewhere in the country, may be eligible to have a portion of the money they paid to the companies for services returned to them.

In advance of National Missing Children's Day on Monday, Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine today released the 2014 Ohio Missing Children Clearinghouse Report, which documents that 18,097 children were reported missing in Ohio in 2014.
