Resubmitted Summaries Certified for Proposed Amendments That Would Change Ohio’s Election Laws

3/6/2020

(COLUMBUS, Ohio) — The Ohio Attorney General's Office today certified resubmitted summaries for four separate proposed amendments to the Ohio Constitution.

On March. 5, 2020, the Ohio Attorney General’s Office received four summaries and determined that each is a "fair and truthful" representation of the corresponding proposed amendment, each entitled “The Secure and Fair Elections Amendment.”

The summaries and amendments are identical to those previously submitted in a single proposed amendment. The Ohio Ballot Board determined that the previously submitted amendment contained four separate issues. Petitioners were not required to submit additional signatures because the contents were identical to the prior submission.

The full text of the letters to petitioners can be found at www.OhioAttorneyGeneral.gov/Petitions.
