Attorney General DeWine Files Lawsuit Challenging Controversial Federal Water Regulations

Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine today filed a lawsuit against the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the U.S. EPA over the federal government’s controversial new regulations defining “waters of the United States,” which were published this morning in the Federal Register. DeWine, who was joined in the lawsuit by Michigan Attorney General Bill Schuette, filed the lawsuit in federal district court in Columbus.

Ohio Attorney General’s Office Wins National Award For Expert Advocacy In U.S. Supreme Court Child Abuse Case

Following a unanimous ruling in Ohio’s favor earlier today, a national group has recognized Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine's office for the high quality of the office's work in the United States Supreme Court.  The National Association of Attorneys General (NAAG) has awarded a Best Brief Award to the Ohio Attorney General’s Office for its work in Ohio v. Clark, which was decided earlier today with a unanimous ruling in favor of Ohio’s arguments.

Ohio Attorney General's LINK Program Helps Identify Skeletal Remains Found in 2008

Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine announced today that remains found in Holmes County nearly seven years ago have now been identified as a missing Toledo woman.  The identification was made possible through Ohio's LINK (Linking Individuals Not Known) Program, offered by the Ohio Attorney General's Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) at no cost to police, coroners, and families of missing individuals.

Fourteen Sentenced to Serve Time in Prison Following Drug Trafficking Investigation

Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine, Stark County Sheriff George Maier, Stark County Prosecutor John Ferrero, and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) announced today that 14 individuals have been sentenced to serve time in prison for their participation in a drug trafficking organization that operated in and around Stark County.

Ohio Man Sentenced to Life in Prison for Kidnapping, Rape of Child

Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine and Jackson County Prosecuting Attorney Justin Lovett announced today that a Jackson man has been sentenced to serve life in prison without parole following his conviction for the 2013 rape and kidnapping of a six-year-old child.
