Attorney General and Greene County Sheriff Announce Arrests of Ohio Brothers in Double Homicide Near Yellow Springs

Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine joined Greene County Sheriff Gene Fischer today to announce the arrests of two Ohio brothers in connection with a recent double homicide in Miami Township (Greene County) near Yellow Springs.  Dustin Merrick, 25, of Xenia, has been charged with two counts of aggravated murder.  Bret Merrick, 24, of Miami Township (Montgomery County), has been charged with two counts of complicity to aggravated murder, two counts of complicity to aggravated burglary, and one count of felonious assault.

Attorneys General DeWine, Morrisey Lead 13 States in Challenging Abusive Federal Mining Rule

Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine and West Virginia Attorney General Patrick Morrisey today led a group of 13 states in challenging the federal government’s “Stream Protection Rule” as drastically and illegally limiting coal mining in disregard of state regulatory authority. The states filed suit in federal court, and many also asked Congress to revoke the last-minute Obama Administration regulation.
