Investigation of Wright State University Consultant Concludes After No Evidence of Violations

Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine today announced that an investigation into a Wright State University consultant’s possible status as a lobbyist did not find evidence of law violations. The investigation into Ron Wine and Ron Wine Consulting Group, which was requested by Ohio Legislative Inspector General Tony Bledsoe, was conducted by Ohio Attorney General’s Office attorneys and Bureau Criminal Investigation (BCI).

Attorney General DeWine Rejects Ohio Motor Voter Automatic Registration Petition

Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine today rejected the petition for a proposed amendment to the Ohio Constitution which would require automatic voter registration when a citizen applies for, renews, updates, or replaces an Ohio driver's license, learner's permit, or identification card, unless he or she affirmatively opts out of registration.

Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine and Warren County Prosecutor David P. Fornshell today announced that a Cincinnati man has been sentenced to serve 19 years in prison and ordered to pay restitution for running an $816,000 scam that defrauded car dealerships and financial institutions in multiple Ohio counties and in Kentucky.
