2023The Diversion and Reentry subcommittee seeks to reduce the over-involvement of persons with behavioral health issues in the criminal justice system. The subcommittee will educate, and take action to influence large-scale systems to reduce stigma, and reduce the barriers to treatment of persons with mental illness entering or leaving the criminal justice system. When persons with mental illness must become involved with the criminal justice system, the task force will seek methods to impact positive outcomes of treatment and reentry services.
