On December 20, 1981, Arthur "Darrell" Hickman was found shot to death at 118 1/2 West Southern Avenue. At about 7:30 pm, two emergency phone calls were received about a shooting at that location. At about 7:41 pm, officers kicked down the door at that residence and found the victim lying in the stairwell, with a gunshot wound to the head. Two black males were seen running from the area at approximately 7:20 pm. This case can be solved with some assistance from the community.
