On October 9, 1992 deputies were dispatched to the area of 981 Longshore Road in south eastern Delaware County. The homeowner located a body in the cornfield near this address. Deputies located the badly decomposed body of Alice Ayers, who was previously reported missing in Columbus, Ohio by family members.
