On July 5, 2021, at 12:20am, Officers were dispatched to the area of 1069 Whittier St. on a shot spotter report. Upon arrival to the area, a call came in directing officers to the area of 1113 Wilson Ave on a shooting outside. At approximately 12:29am, a male shooting victim, 19yr old Sincere Akers, was dropped off at Children's Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased at 1:13am.
