The Policy and Legislation Section serves as the legislative liaisons for the Office of Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost and is the primary point of contact to the members of the Ohio General Assembly and their staff. The section is responsible for analyzing, developing, tracking and implementing legislative proposals and policies of interest to the Attorney General’s office.
The section represents the Attorney General’s office during legislative sessions by preparing and coordinating testimony, arranging for witnesses from the Attorney General’s office to testify at committee hearings, and responding to policy and constituent inquiries from the members of the legislature. All of these functions are important to the Attorney General’s office in maintaining a productive relationship with the Ohio General Assembly.
