Heather joined the Attorney General's Office in July 2016. Her clients include the Attorney General, Ballot Board, Board of Professional Conduct, Board on the Unauthorized Practice of Law, Client Security Fund, Office of Budget and Management, Ohio Judicial Conference, Ohio Supreme Court and the Secretary of State of Ohio. She is also a member of the office's Public Records Unit. As a member of the Unit, she counsels state agencies and state employees on compliance with Ohio's Public Records Act and travels throughout the State presenting CLEs on Ohio's Public Records and Open Meetings Acts.
Prior to joining the Attorney General's Office, Heather was counsel at a Columbus firm focusing primarily on civil litigation defense work. Heather handled a variety of matters, including data breach/cyber security claims, litigation arising out of the issuance of residential mortgage-backed securities, and e-discovery issues and management. Heather was previously an associate at a large global law firm in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Her practice focused on insurance coverage defense involving all types of insurance coverage. Prior to private practice, Heather served as an Assistant District Attorney in Philadelphia.
