Attorney General DeWine Announces Extended Deadline for Rock Salt Settlement Claims

Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine today announced that Ohio public entities will have two additional weeks to submit claims for funding available through the Attorney General’s $11.5 million settlement with Cargill and Morton Salt over past rock salt prices.
 
The deadline to submit a claim was Aug. 7 and now will be extended to Aug. 21.

Attorney General's Office Now Accepting Applications for Campus Sexual Assault Victim Advocacy Grants

Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine announced today that his office is now accepting grant applications for several million dollars in competitive grant funds that will be directed towards strengthening sexual assault victim advocacy programs on the campuses of Ohio's colleges and universities.

More than 8,000 Sexual Assault Kits Tested as part of Attorney General DeWine's Sexual Assault Kit Testing Initiative

Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine today announced that forensic scientists with the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) have now tested more than 8,000 sexual assault kits as part of a special initiative to test rape kits that had never been tested for DNA.
