Attorney General DeWine Announces Agreement with Pharmaceutical Company to Recover Medicaid Funds

Columbus -- Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine announced today that Ohio has joined other states and the federal government to reach an agreement in principle with pharmaceutical manufacturer, UCB, Inc., to settle allegations that the company marketed the anti-epileptic drug Keppra® for off-label purposes and caused the Ohio Medicaid program to pay false reimbursement claims.

A Summit County Judge has ordered the operators of an Akron gas station to pay civil penalties and attorneys' fees totaling of $44,096 for years of noncompliance with Ohio's air pollution laws, Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine announced today.

Civil Rights Commission Reaches Housing Settlement with Cleveland Apartment Operators

The Ohio Civil Rights Commission (OCRC) and Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine today announced the settlement of a discrimination claim against the developers, designers, owners, and builders of Stonebridge Waterfront Apartments, Stonebridge Towers and Stonebridge Plaza (collectively, Stonebridge properties) located in Cleveland, Ohio.  The settlement agreement substantially increases the availability of accessible housing opportunities in downtown Cleveland for persons with mobility limitations.

DeWine Asks U.S. Supreme Court Not to Give Prison Inmates Greater Miranda Protections Than Other Citizens

(COLUMBUS, Ohio) – Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine filed a brief today asking the U.S. Supreme Court to reverse a Sixth Circuit decision expanding Miranda rights for prisoners.  Thirty-five other attorneys general joined DeWine’s brief.
