Attorney General DeWine Reminds Law Enforcement of Deadline to Submit Rape Kits for DNA Testing

Attorney General Mike DeWine today reminded Ohio's law enforcement authorities that they must submit any remaining sexual assault kits associated with investigations opened on or before March 23, 2015, to a crime laboratory for DNA testing by next week.

Attorney General DeWine Certifies Two Ballot Initiative Petitions

Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine today certified two petitions for  proposed amendments to the Ohio Constitution. The unrelated proposals regard the issuance of bonds for energy initiatives and new restrictions for members and employees of the Ohio General Assembly.

Man Found Guilty of Murdering Sheriff's Deputy in 1981

Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine and Washington County Sheriff Larry R. Mincks Sr. announced today that former deputy Mitchell Ruble has been found guilty of aggravated murder for the 1981 death of Washington County Sheriff's Deputy Lt. Ray "Joe" Clark.

DeWine Urges U.S. EPA to Retract Proposed Regulation of Competitive Racing Vehicles

Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine has asked the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to remove language from a proposed rule which takes the unprecedented step of establishing regulations for competitive racing vehicles under the Clean Air Act. DeWine expressed his concerns with the proposed language in a letter to U.S. EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy.
