Attorney General DeWine Asks for Tips in Missing Persons Case

9/20/2013

(CADIZ, Ohio) -- Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine is requesting information in regards to a missing persons case in Harrison County.

Nicole "Nikki" Konanec, 34, disappeared in November 2012.  She was last seen in Cadiz, Ohio.

Her disappearance is considered suspicious.

"We do not believe this is a case of an adult who just doesn't want to be found," said Attorney General DeWine.  "This is not a person who has a habit of losing contact with her family for months at a time."

The Attorney General's Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) and Missing Persons Unit are assisting the Harrison County Sheriff's Office in the case.

Friends have offered a $1,000 reward for information leading to Konanec's whereabouts.

Konanec has blonde hair, hazel eyes, and scars on her right arm.  She has multiple tattoos, including the name "Daniel" on her back.

Konanec's entry in the Attorney General's Missing Persons Database can be found here.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Nicole "Nikki" Konanec should call the BCI tip line at 1-855-BCI-OHIO (855-224-6446) or the Harrison County Sheriff's Office at 740-942-2197.  Tips can also be submitted online.
