(COLUMBUS)— Today Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine issued a statement following the issuance of a stay by the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals in the State of Ohio's case challenging the Obama administration’s “Waters of the United States” rule.
“I am glad that the Sixth Circuit Court has temporarily stopped the effect of this sweeping, illegal rule that claims federal jurisdiction over about every damp area of public or private land in the nation.”
Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine, along with some thirty other states, filed lawsuits in June to challenge the expansive new rule.
