To kick off National Internet Safety Month, which is observed in June, Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine today released an educational video for individuals whose personal information has been compromised in a security breach.

Ohio Attorney General DeWine today sent letters to more than 600 internet cafes informing them of the June 27th deadline to file new affidavits under the extended statewide moratorium of new sweepstakes establishments. Senate Bill 115, which established the new registration requirements and extended the moratorium, was signed yesterday by Governor John Kasich.

Attorney General Mike DeWine today announced the resolution of a multistate antitrust lawsuit against a major U.S. book publisher for price-fixing and collusion in the electronic book (e-book) market. DeWine and 32 other attorneys general have reached an agreement with Penguin Group (USA) Inc. to settle allegations that Penguin colluded with other major publishers and Apple Inc. to manipulate prices in the e-book market.

Attorney General Mike DeWine today filed a lawsuit charging Durabilt Inc., Allwood Structures Inc., and the businesses’ owner Timothy Swallen with multiple violations of Ohio’s consumer laws.
