Former Office Manager Indicted for Health Care Fraud

Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine and U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Ohio Carter Stewart announced today that the former office manager for the Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky office of Compass Healthcare, Inc., has been charged with four counts of Health Care Fraud.

Attorney General DeWine Seeks Consumer Restitution from Loan Modification Service

Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine today announced a lawsuit against Home Remedy Center of Newport Beach, California, for failure to deliver and failure to provide refunds for its home loan modification service. Attorney General DeWine seeks consumer restitution, injunctive relief, and civil penalties.

State of Ohio Reaches $1.5 Million Settlement with Buckeye Silicon for Unpaid Loans

The Ohio Development Services Agency (DSA), the Ohio Air Quality Development Authority (OAQDA), and the Ohio Attorney General’s Office today announced that the three agencies have reached a $1.5 million settlement with a Toledo manufacturing company for unpaid loans. The settlement resolves collections actions against Buckeye Silicon for loans owed to DSA and OAQDA.

Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine today announced a lawsuit against Monroe Dodge-Chrysler, Inc., which does business as Monroe Dodge Chrysler Jeep Superstore, of Monroe, Michigan. The Attorney General’s lawsuit accuses the dealership of using deceptive advertisements.

Man Sentenced to Prison, Ordered to Pay More Than $100,000 for OPERS Theft

Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine, Franklin County Prosecutor Ron O'Brien, and Ohio Public Employees Retirement System General Counsel Julie Emch Becker announced today that an Arizona man was ordered to repay the state of Ohio more than $100,000 he stole by using the identity of his deceased mother over a period of approximately 23 years.

Former Pharmacist Sentenced to Pay More Than $300,000, Serve Two Years in Prison

Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine and United States Attorney for the Northern District of Ohio Steven Dettelbach announced today that a former Ohio pharmacist has been ordered to pay more than $300,000 for illegally filling prescriptions at a Salem, Ohio, pharmacy for more than two years.
