(BUCYRUS, Ohio) -- Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine is alerting the public about a sexual predator who has failed to register his correct address with authorities as required by law.
Deputies with the Crawford County Sheriff's Office issued a warrant for the arrest of Randy Bowman on September 9, 2013. He is wanted on a charge of Failure to Register.
According to Crawford County authorities, Bowman notified them that he would be registering in Knox County. However, Bowman never registered in Knox county using the Mt. Vernon address provided to Crawford County authorities. His whereabouts now are unknown.
According to public records, Bowman was labeled a sexual predator after he was convicted in Indiana on a charge of Sexual Misconduct with a Minor in 2004. Records also show that he previously violated his address registry requirements.
He has multiple tattoos including a heart with flames on his left shoulder and a skull and eagle on his back.
Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Randy Bowman should contact the Crawford County Sheriff's Office or the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) at 855-BCI-OHIO (855-224-6446).
This news release is part of Attorney General Mike DeWine’s Crimes Against Children Initiative. As part of the Crimes Against Children Initiative, Attorney General DeWine will publicize convicted sex offenders who have victimized children and are wanted on outstanding warrants. Other parts of the initiative include the establishment of a Crimes Against Children Unit at BCI, creation of a rapid response team for crimes against children, and specialized law enforcement training through BCI and the Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy (OPOTA).
