Hamilton County Man Arrested for Compelling Prostitution after BCI Crimes Against Children Investigation

12/31/2012

(HARRISON, Ohio)—Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine today announced that a Hamilton County man has been arrested for Compelling Prostitution involving a juvenile victim, as part of an ongoing investigation by the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation’s (BCI) Crimes Against Children Unit and the Harrison Police Department.

Corey R. Stanton, 22, of Cleves, Ohio, was arrested on December 29th on charges of Compelling Prostitution involving a juvenile victim. The Harrison Police Department requested assistance from the Crimes Against Children Unit after reports that a juvenile was allegedly being solicited for sex by an adult male. BCI Special Agents began an investigation and conducted several interviews, establishing probable cause for an arrest. The investigation is ongoing at this time.

Attorney General DeWine praised the efforts of BCI and local law enforcement for their work to prevent crimes against children.

“This investigation is an example of the resources the Ohio Attorney General’s Office is offering local law enforcement to better protect children across Ohio,” DeWine said. “Although this investigation is ongoing, it is clear the excellent work of the Harrison Police Department and BCI rescued a juvenile from further victimization.”
