On Sunday, June 28, 2015, at approximately 11:37 p.m., the Columbus Police were called to the area of 3635 Cypress Club Way, in the Gardens of Easton Apartments, on the report of a shooting in the parking lot. Columbus Police Officers arrived and found the victim, identified as 29yr old Lucero Rico Villa, lying on the ground suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
