On 10/29/05, 27yr old Daniel Troutman was found beaten to death in a farmer's field along Carter's Mill Road in Madison County. According to police, witnesses last saw Troutman in the early morning hours of October 21, 2005 as he left Woo Doggies Bar and Grill in the Westpointe Shopping Plaza near the corner of Hilliard-Rome and Trabue roads. Witnesses said Troutman got into a dark blue Chevrolet Lumina with two other men and drove away. Although Troutman was beaten to death, investigators are convinced that he did not die in the field.
