On Wednesday, February 23, 2022, at 10:52 PM, Columbus Police Officers were called to the 300 block of Whitethorne Avenue to investigate a report of shots fired. Officers found 19yr old Dameire Novell Thornton, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. CFD Medics pronounced Mr. Thornton deceased at 11:08 PM.
