On Saturday December 15, 2018 at approximately 7:13 p.m., the Columbus Division of Police received a call and were requested to respond to the rear of 1008 E. 17th Ave. Initial information indicated that a person was shot. When patrol officers arrived, 20yr old Duane Penick Jr was discovered and had been shot. The victim was pronounced at scene at 7:20 p.m. by Columbus Fire Medic 13.
