On Saturday, January 2, 2021, at 11:45pm, Columbus Police Officers were called to the area of 729 Polo Dr. N on a report of a shooting. On arrival, officers found Christopher Gillikin, 21, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. CFD Medic 6 transported Gillikin to Riverside Hospital in life threatening condition where he was pronounced deceased by attending physicians at 5:24am. The investigation has revealed that just prior to the shooting Gillikin left an acquaintance’s residence to meet an unknown party in the parking lot.
