Peter Joseph Becci was the president of Springborn Institute for Biological Research in Spencerville, Ohio. On Friday, February 6, 1987, Becci was at his home at 750 Kiowa Trail in Shawnee Township. His wife and children were at supper. Sometime in the early evening hours, someone entered his home and shot him repeatedly with a large caliber handgun.
