Julie currently serves as Section Chief of the Constitutional Offices Section. She joined the section as Assistant Chief in 2019. She represents all public offices established by the Ohio Constitution, including the Governor, the Supreme Court of Ohio and the Ohio Secretary of State. This is Julie’s second term with the Office. From 2005 through 2015, Julie proudly served in several capacities including Sr. AAG, Assistant Chief and Federal Litigation Coordinator in the Employment Law Section, Deputy Director of Human Resources and Labor Counsel, and Principal AAG in the Charitable Law Section.
Julie has extensive trial and appellate experience in both state and federal courts. She has acted as lead trial attorney in jury and court trials in Ohio and Pennsylvania. Julie has appeared before the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, the Third Circuit Court of Appeals and many federal district courts and state courts of appeals. Julie enjoys collaborating with fellow lawyers of all experience levels in providing excellent legal services to Ohio’s elected officials and other public offices.
Prior to joining the Attorney General’s Office, Julie practiced law for several years with a Pennsylvania law firm where she acted as litigation and in-house counsel to numerous public officials, agencies and boards. Most recently, from 2015 until she returned to the Attorney General’s Office, Julie was the Director of Employee Relations for the Columbus City Schools.
