Ohio Attorney General DeWine Joins Others in Asking Pabst to Change the Formulation and Marketing of "Blast"

Columbus – Attorney General Mike DeWine, along with fifteen other states, Guam, and the City of San Francisco, today issued a letter to Pabst Brewing Company, asking the beer manufacturer to change the formulation and the marketing of its new alcoholic beverage, "Blast." Promoted under the Colt 45 label, Blast is sold in 23.5-ounce containers at 12 percent alcohol by volume with marketing that appeals to young adults.

BCI Marks 90th Anniversary with Open House Celebrating Past and Future

BCI today marked its 90th anniversary with an open house and ceremony led by Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine and BCI Superintendent Tom Stickrath. The event took place at the BCI main office in London.

BCI Begins Examining Evidence in U.S. Navy Veterans Association Case

Attorney General DeWine is also asking for the public’s help to determine the suspect’s real name.   Investigators believe “Bobby Thompson” is just one of several aliases the man used during his lifetime.

BCI Awarded Grant to Develop Sex Offender Notification for Colleges and Universities

Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine announced today that BCI has been awarded a grant to develop sex offender notification for use by colleges and universities. The $73,500 federal grant was awarded by the United States Department of Justice thought the SMART FY 2011 Support for Adam Walsh Act Implementation Grant Program.

Attorney General, Department of Health, and Drug Free Action Alliance Announce Prescription Drug Drop Box Program

The Attorney General’s Office is partnering with the Ohio Department of Health and the Drug Free Action Alliance to invite southern Ohio’s law enforcement agencies to participate in the newly established Ohio Prescription Drug Drop Box Program. The program will provide approximately 75 drop boxes to collect prescription drugs and three incinerators to destroy them.
